The new season is on the horizon, and that means it’s time for previews and predictions. With so many different angles to approach things from, we’ve decided to break it up into a two-parter.

First up is the Eastern Conference. We look into the Metro division’s elite four team race at the top, whether anyone can give Tampa Bay a scare in the Atlantic, and just how much the Sabres can reasonably be expected to improve.
